Islington Mill Art Academy: Two week residency..

The Islington Mill Art Academy is an independent artist education project set up by a group of young artists in May 2007. The project is now permanently based three days per week at Islington Mill in Salford, UK. The group comprises of 13 artists in training. We organise talks, research trips, study blocks, daily critical debate sessions and a residency program working with local, national and international artists. We are collectively responsible for the structuring, funding and direction of our education and development. We are interested in self-organisation as a creative process.
